Influence of the compatibility of base paint and PU colorant on the results

The compatibility of the base paint and the PU color paste affects the accuracy and economy of color mixing. The compatibility can be seen through the finger grinding test and the method of mixing the color paste and the base paint for a long time.
The so-called finger grinding test is to take 100g of white paint, add 2 to 3g of the color paste to be tested, PU color paste manufacturer, after fully stirring, apply it on the surface of the object to be coated, when the paint film is about to dry, use your fingers to grind and apply it. For the surface layer of the film, after the paint film is dry, observe whether there is a color difference between the areas that have been rubbed with your fingers and those that have not been rubbed. If the difference is large, the compatibility of the color paste with the tested paint is not good. The paint prepared from the color paste is prone to floating color phenomenon. If the color is the same, the floating color phenomenon will not generally occur.
Experiments have shown that PU color paste, when the compatibility of the color difference is less than 0.5, has little impact on the accuracy and economy of the color matching results.
The method of mixing the color paste with the base paint and then letting it stand is to add the selected color paste to the base paint, stir and mix well, and let it stand for 24 hours to observe whether there is a phenomenon of floating color (pigment layering), such as pigment separation. layer, it means that the color paste used is not compatible with the base paint.
